Currently we have an immediate need to add an experienced:

Software Applications Engineer
Location: Chantilly, VA (on-site client environment)
Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
Compensation: Competitive, Excellent Benefits

In this role you will apply technical resources to accelerate the timely, reliable and secure delivery of open source data, information, and insights. This project requires an application developer to support, maintain, and enhance existing data exploitation platforms, and to enhance the existing suite of software tools that our customer's mission-critical teams utilize. There is a component of reverse engineering existing technology as well. You will work in a team environment, sometimes individually on certain tasks.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary Agile teams through sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily scrums.
  • Experience translating customer requirements into MVIs, features, and user stories within a Lean Agile framework.
  • Experience coordinating across teams to manage releases, create documentation, and managing stakeholder communications.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, GCP, and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience deploying and manage applications using EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, RDS, CloudWatch, Route53, and API Gateway.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices including infrastructure-as-code, vulnerability scanning, and multi-tenant support.
  • Extensive demonstrated experience architecting, designing, and maintain applications using MVC architecture and modern design patterns.
  • Experience creating wireframes, storyboards, and design templates for reusable components.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align architecture with mission needs.
  • Experience conducting technical risk assessments and provide mitigation guidance for enterprise-wide systems.
  • Desired: Experience developing responsive web applications using Angular, React, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and/or building backend services using Java, Python, Spring Boot, Node.js, Express, Ruby on Rails, and Golang.
  • Desired: Experience designing and maintaining relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Aurora, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
  • Desired: Experience writing and optimizing PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and performing complex queries.
  • Desired: Experience building and maintaining dashboards using Tableau, Tableau Prep, Elasticsearch, and custom visualization tools.
