Currently we have an immediate need to add an experienced:

Data Scientist 
Location: McLean,  VA (on-site client environment)
Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
Compensation: Competitive, Excellent Benefits

Armison Tech is looking for a candidate skilled in data visualization and analysis to assist the team with accurate information and presentation of learning related data in order to fulfill our Customer's needs and facilitate data driven decisions. You will perform work that includes development, and maintenance of programming packages, and provide data services to support cross-enterprise needs.

Required Skills and Demonstrated Experience

  • Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience performing extract, transform, and load procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing ETL, and ETL workflows using Python, SQL, and other tools for reporting and analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building a data infrastructure, developing data pipelines, transforming/preparing data, ensuring data quality, and ensuring data security.
  • Experience with data management and integration, including designing and operating robust data layers for application development across local and cloud or web data sources.
  • Demonstrated experience constructing complex multi-data source queries with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Neo4J, or RDS.
  • Experience developing data pipelines with NiFi to bring data into a central environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using Elastic and Kibana technologies, as well as experience documenting artifacts as code, using Python packages and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience using Jupyter Notebooks.
  • DESIRED:  Demonstrated experience with cloud services such as AWS, as well as cloud-data technologies and architectures. 
  • DESIRED:  Demonstrated experience using big data processing tools such as Apache Spark or Trino, as well as experience using container frameworks such as Docker or Kubernetes.
